Coach of the Benin Republic national team, Gernot Rohr, has predicted a ‘very open match’ when his team clashes with Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier.

Nigeria will host the Benin Republic in their final World Cup qualifier in Uyo.

Eric Chelle’s side are three points behind the Cheetahs, who sit at the top of Group C with 17 points, while South Africa are second with 15 points.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Rohr, who has coached the Super Eagles in the past, also expressed confidence that Benin will go for a win against Nigeria.

“We go for a win, but we know that we have to be patient, and we know that Nigeria has only a chance if they win.

“So I believe it will be a very open match,” Rohr told reporters.

The kick-off time for the match is 5 pm, Nigerian time.
