Ronaldo Nazário, a former Real Madrid striker, has predicted Lionel Messi will do “very well” for the Argentina national team in next year’s FIFA World Cup.
Ronaldo stated this while speaking on Messi’s performances at the Club World Cup this summer.
Recall that Messi led Inter Miami to the Club World Cup last-16 stage in the US.
Unfortunately, however, the Argentina forward could not help the MLS club overcome Paris Saint-Germain, as they lost 4-0 and exited the competition.
Speaking with DSports, Ronaldo insisted that the 38-year-old still has something to offer the game.
“I’ve been watching Leo [Lionel Messi] in the Club World Cup matches and he still has things to offer,” said Ronaldo.
“He always reads the game well. If he loses the ball, he tries to win it back.
“I see Messi doing very well, and I believe Messi will be in good shape for the 2026 World Cup.”
