Prominent political opposition leaders in the country, on Saturday gathered at Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to discuss pressing national issues, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The high-level opposition political leaders’ summit is hosted by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
Among those in attendance were former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi; former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Also in attendance included Peter Obi, David Mark, Professor Jerry Gana, factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Saminu Turaki, and political strategist Pat Utomi.
The summit, currently underway in Ibadan, has drawn a broad spectrum of opposition stakeholders from across Nigeria.

Discussions are expected to centre on pressing national issues, emerging political alignments, and strategic preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
