Former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, has joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Maku, widely known as ‘Mutumin Kirki’, made the move on Tuesday, just a day after announcing his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former minister, who previously served as commissioner and deputy governor of Nasarawa State between 1999 and 2007, is said to have come under intense pressure from supporters to contest the Nasarawa North senatorial seat.
