
The Nigerian Ports Authority has announced that 33 vessels carrying petroleum products, food supplies, and other assorted cargoes are scheduled to arrive at major seaports in Lagos.
According to the authority’s Daily Shipping Position released on Monday, the vessels are expected to arrive at the Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port, and Lekki Deep Sea Port between February 22 and February 27.
The NPA explained that 17 of the incoming ships are laden with containerised cargo, while the remaining 16 vessels are conveying bulk gas, diplomatic cargo, bulk urea, empty containers, crude oil, bulk clinker, and blended stock.
The authority also disclosed that seven ships and tanker vessels have already arrived at the three ports and are currently awaiting berthing approval. These vessels are carrying aviation fuel, petrol, containers, and general cargo.
The NPA stated that port operations are ongoing, with 17 vessels presently discharging various consignments, including bulk wheat, soya bean oil, bulk sugar, bulk urea, trucks, fresh fish, and containerised goods at the Tin Can Island, Apapa, and Lekki ports.
