The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released a comprehensive update on its ongoing nationwide recruitment.
According to the board, a total of 1,120,491 applications were successfully completed and processed, with candidates advancing to sit for the computer-based test (CBT).
In the same vein, 432,935 applications were incomplete, while 360,923 applicants were disqualified during the screening and shortlisting phase after failing to meet the set requirements.
Overall, the exercise attracted more than 1.8 million applications across Nigeria.
The recruitment covers key agencies under the board, including the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Correctional Service.
CDCFIB also published a nationwide breakdown of CBT scores, revealing the distribution of candidates’ performance:
221,996 candidates scored between 0–40
229,155 candidates scored between 41–60
278,543 candidates scored between 61–80
142,697 candidates scored between 81–100
The recruitment process is set to move into its next phase, which will involve physical screening and document verification.
Shortlisted candidates are expected to receive official notifications outlining their screening venues, dates, and required documents.
The board reiterated that the entire recruitment process is free of charge and urged applicants to rely only on official communication channels for updates.
It also warned against misinformation and unofficial messages, especially following earlier complaints about intermittent access to the recruitment portal.
