“I was feeling slothy” — Grey’s Anatomy star Camilla Luddington reveals Hashimoto’s diagnosis after months of health struggles

Greys Anatomy actress Camilla Luddington has revealed that she was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease after experiencing months of unexplained symptoms that left her feeling slothy. According to Daily mail, the 41-year-old best known for playing Dr. Jo Wilson shared the news on her podcast Call It What It Is, alongside co-host and fellow actress Jennifer Capshaw. Camilla said she initially brushed off her symptoms, even assuming it might be perimenopause, but her bloodwork from nearly three months ago told a different story. I remember hearing the words autoimmune disease and thinking, What the f***? she said. But then when they said its really common, I was like, well, that sucks, but okay. The British-American star explained that Hashimotos is when the bodys immune system attacks the thyroid, a small gland in the neck that regulates energy levels. It makes you feel slothy. Like, genuinely tired and slow. Over time, the thyroid slows down and stops making enough hormones, she shared, adding that she also suffered from fatigue and health anxiety. At one point, Camilla admitted she started doubting her own reality:I have health anxiety So there was a part of me that was like, am I gaslighting myself?
