
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has explained that parts of its serviced areas in Abuja, Nasarawa, Niger, and Kogi are currently experiencing outages and supply shortages due to limited energy supply from the National Grid.
The disco disclosed this in a notice released on X on Friday.
AEDC said it is currently monitoring the situation and vowed that normalcy would return as soon as the supply from the grid improves.
“We are keenly aware of the current low power supply and outages being experienced by customers across our franchise area. While we strive to maintain a steady flow of energy, several locations are currently facing significant disruptions as a result of limited energy supply from the grid.
“Our technical team is closely monitoring the situation in real-time and remains fully committed to restoring normal service at the earliest possible time as soon as our grid allocation improves,” AEDC stated.
DAILY POST reports that in the past few days, electricity supply in Abuja and its environs has been epileptic, impacting homes and businesses negatively.
