Senegal forward Sadio Mané has warned against underrating any team at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Morocco.
Mané, who currently plays his club football for Al-Nassr, made the comment while speaking to reporters in a post-match interview.
DAILY POST reports that a goal each from Mané and Cédric Bakambu ensured a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
“One point isn’t too bad as DR Congo were determined and played very well,” Mané said.
“They were good and compact in defence, they didn’t take unnecessary risks.
“We aren’t completely unhappy. It was a tough match, and in AFCON you can’t underrate any team.”
Mané, a former Liverpool player, was awarded the man-of-the-match award for the Senegal versus DR Congo encounter.
