The results of Saturday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, matches are out.
DAILY POST reports that Nigeria defeated Tunisia 3-2 in Group C, thanks to goals from Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen, Besiktas’ Wilfred Ndidi and Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman.
Also in Group C, Tanzania and Uganda played a 1-1 draw to remain in third and fourth positions in the standings.
Similarly, in Group D, Senegal drew 1-1 with DR Congo, while the Benin Republic defeated Botswana 1-0.
Meanwhile, more AFCON fixtures will be played today, Sunday, as Gabon will face Mozambique in an early kick-off in the afternoon.
Later in the evening, Equatorial Guinea will tackle Sudan, while Algeria will clash with Burkina Faso.
On Sunday night, AFCON holder Ivory Coast will take on Cameroon in a Group F fixture at Stade de Marrakech.
