
Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso has insisted that he is not thinking about rumours of the club sacking him.
Alonso spoke at his post-match interview after Real Madrid’s LaLiga 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo on Sunday.
The Spaniard watched as two goals from Williot Swedberg ensured the visitors defeated the Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabeu.
After the game, reports emerged that the Real Madrid hierarchy could sack Alonso in the coming days.
However, speaking on the development after Celta Vigo defeated Real Madrid, Alonso insisted that he is only focused on his side’s next match against Manchester City in the Champions League.
According to the former Bayer Leverkusen coach, everyone is United at Madrid.
“Rumors I’m getting fired? I’m not thinking of that, I’m just thinking of Wednesday’s game,” Alonso said at his post-match interview.
“We are all united,” he stated.
Real Madrid are now four points behind leaders Barcelona on the LaLiga table.
