The relationship between Mohamed Salah and Arne Slot has continued to go down the drain as the Egyptian counts down to the remaining days he has left as a Liverpool player.
Both parties were recently involved in a cryptic war of words as they both came at each other following the poor form at Liverpool. Recently, Mohamed Salah called out his teammates by asking for more performance on the pitch claiming how standards has dropped at the club.
Arne Slot was asked about his opinion on the comments during his pre-match press conference for the game against Chelsea. The Liverpool manager responded by throwing jabs at Salah saying that more work needs to be done on the pitch and not in the gym.
He said,
"The standards are not only important in the gym. It’s also on the pitch. Okay. You understand me? Without me saying anything?”
This is the second time in the last few months that both men have been at loggerheads over poor form from the team and also from Salah’s end. However, Salah has also confirmed that he will be leaving Anfield at the end of this season but it remains to be seen if Slot will also remain with the Reds going into next srason.
