
Bandits on Sunday afternoon attacked Kokanawa community in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, abducting two residents, rustling cattle and setting several houses ablaze.
The assailants also looted homes and made away with livestock during the raid, which forced many villagers to flee into nearby bushes for safety.
According to a post by security analyst Bakatsine on X, the attackers stormed the community in broad daylight, causing panic and destruction before fleeing the scene.
“Yesterday afternoon, bandits invaded Kokanawa community in Danko-Wasagu LGA, Kebbi State. They abducted two people, rustled cattle and livestock, looted homes, and set several houses ablaze during the invasion,” he wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, security agencies had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
