
Two residents were reportedly abducted when suspected bandits attacked communities in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Details of the incident were contained in a post shared on X on Thursday by security analyst, Bakatsine.
According to the post, the attackers first stormed Sundu village, where they abducted one person before moving to Yanoko village, where a woman was also reportedly taken away.
Residents said the bandits carried out the attacks at night, moving through the communities under the cover of darkness.
“Last night, bandits stormed communities in Rogo LGA of Kano State, first attacking Sundu village where one person was abducted before moving on to Yanoko village, where a woman was also reportedly taken. Residents say the attackers moved through the area under cover of darkness, deepening fears about the spread of rural insecurity in the state.
“How are bandits able to operate so freely in communities that continue to call for stronger protection?,” Bakatsine asked.
