BBN STAR, URIEL OPUTA, TO DON JAZZY: Your Infidelity stance stems from dating ‘what you see physically’

Music executive Michael Ajaere aka Don Jazzy has been encouraged by BBNaija star Uriel Oputa to reevaluate his relationship approach after he made it public that he doesn’t think he is “strong enough” to commit to just one woman.

Recall that in an interview with Nancy Isime, the 42-year-old music producer, who is still single, said that he lacked the self-discipline to stick with just one lover.

Don Jazzy, whose remarks have rekindled online debates around relationships and monogamy in the Nigerian entertainment sector, also clarified that he is single in part because he lacks the self-control to stick with one spouse.

He admitted that some women could be deterred or put off by his candor, but he would rather be honest with himself than deceive someone in a relationship.

Don Jazzy stated, “I don’t believe that I am strong enough to be with [only] one person… I will not be dating you and telling you that you’re the only person.” He further elaborated, “Some people have the strength to be sexually committed once they are attracted to somebody. But for me, the fact that you’re a beautiful lady doesn’t stop me from admiring another woman who is also beautiful.”

In response to Don Jazzy’s remarks on the most recent Outside The Box Podcast, Uriel challenged him to reevaluate his preferences for ladies.

She clarified that the type of women the music mogul has been dating could be the cause of the problem. According to Uriel, his perspective on commitment might alter if he were to choose different women.

She said, “I love Don Jazzy, I love him like no other. He’s such an amazing person. But I feel like when he said that he’s unable to be s3xually committed to one woman, it boils down to the type of women he goes for. If I see him, I will tell him to try a different type of woman.”

Uriel went on to discuss the dating customs of Nigerian males. She maintained that many men don’t look for deeper, more meaningful traits in a partner, instead focusing just on beauty.

“A lot of the men in Nigeria don’t date for substance. They date for what they see physically, on the outside. That translates to the majority of Nigerian men. They cannot stay with one woman because they don’t date for substance,” she said.
