The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State, Benjamin Omale, has urged party faithful across the state to take the ongoing electronic registration exercise seriously and ensure full participation.
He further appealed to residents to show up in large numbers for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stressing that broad participation is crucial ahead of future elections.
Omale made these remarks on Thursday when he hosted a delegation of political leaders and stakeholders from the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, who visited him on a courtesy call.
During the meeting, the APC chairman highlighted the importance of unity, loyalty and collective effort as preparations intensify for the 2027 polls.
While speaking, he stated, “Let me use this opportunity to encourage our party members to actively participate in the ongoing e-registration exercise and, at the same time, urge the people of the state to turn out massively to register in the Continuous INEC Voter Registration exercise.”
He reiterated that the party remains anchored on principles of fairness, justice and inclusiveness, assuring that the APC under his leadership will continue to prioritise the interests of the people.
The leader of the delegation, Musa Ujor, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, commended the state party leadership and expressed unwavering confidence in the APC’s direction at both state and national levels.
Other elders and stakeholders also extended appreciation to Governor Hyacinth Alia, acknowledging what they described as his openness, generosity and inclusive governance toward their constituency. They additionally reaffirmed their confidence in President Bola Tinubu and Governor Alia.
According to them, the governor’s support for the Otukpo/Ohimini area can be seen in key appointments, including the Deputy Governor, the Commissioners for Finance and Health, and the APC State Chairman all of whom hail from the zone.
The delegation made up of elders, women, youth groups and influential community figures from Otukpo and Ohimini pledged to mobilise full grassroots backing for the APC and Governor Alia as the 2027 general elections draw nearer.
