The Benue State House of Assembly on Thursday approved Governor Hyacinth Alia’s request to appoint 10 additional special advisers.
This followed the consideration of the governor’s letter read by the Speaker of the House Alfred Emberga, during plenary in Makurdi.

Governor Alia appealed for expeditious consideration of the request, saying the special advisers are required to strengthen his administration.
The speaker, thereafter, put the request to a voice vote with the lawmakers unanimously giving the governor the go-ahead to appoint 10 more advisers.
