Butcher st@bs customer during dispute over price of meat in Umuahia

The Abia State Police Command has arrested a butcher for st@bbing his customer in the neck with a pair of scissors following a disagreement over the price of meat. The incident happened at Orie Ugba market in Umuahia on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The spokesperson for the command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, who confirmed the incident and arrest said that the victim, who was rushed to hospital, is currently responding to treatment. "The Abia State Police Command is aware of the incident that occurred at Orieugba Market on 14/03/2026, where a meat butcher stabbed his customer in the neck with a pair of scissors following a disagreement over the price of meat, the statement read. "Operatives of the Central Police Station (CPS), Umuahia, have visited the crime scene.  "The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he is currently responding to treatment. "The suspect is presently in police custody, while investigation is ongoing.  The suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.The post Butcher st@bs customer during dispute over price of meat in Umuahia appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
