A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Umar Tanko Yakasai, has urged President Bola Tinubu’s appointees to carry Nigerians along as they go about their assignments.
He made the call after an Iftar event in Abuja on Monday.
According to him, appointees of the current government should do well to be the shining light to Nigerians.
Yakasai also admonished Nigerians on the need to rally support for the current administration and ensure they shun all forms of tribalism and religious bias.
“Few of us that got appointed should do everything humanly possible to carry as many members of the support groups as they can along in order to distribute patronage and support one another as well as the president’s efforts to reward party faithfuls,” Yakasai, who doubled as the Director General of Tinubu Support Group, TSG, said.
This is coming after Tinubu on Monday swore in Taiwo Oyedele as the country’s Minister of State for Finance.
