At least two countries have booked their places in the quarter-finals of the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN, tournament.
The two countries are Kenya and Tanzania.
DAILY POST reports that Kenya qualified for the last-8 with a game to spare in Group A after DR Congo defeated Angola 2-0 on Thursday.
The result means the Harambee Stars sit on top of Group A with 7 points, while Morocco, who defeated Zambia 3-1 earlier on Thursday, and DR Congo are in second and third positions, respectively, with 6 points each.
Kenya holds a head-to-head advantage over Morocco and DR Congo after beating both teams 1-0 respectively, earlier in the group stage fixtures.
Morocco and DR Congo will now battle this weekend in their last group game tie and the winner will join Kenya to progress from the group stage.
Meanwhile, Tanzania are the first team to qualified for the last-8 as they currently top Group B with 9 points with a game to spare.
