Chelsea Football Club have confirmed the exit of Djordje Petrovic to join Premier League side Bournemouth ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Petrovic joined Chelsea from New England Revolution in the summer of 2023 and the Serbia international made 31 appearances in his first season with the Blues. He spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at RC Strasbourg, where he made 31 appearances for the French club.

Bournemouth have been keen on getting a goalkeeper having had Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea last season. The Spaniard signed for Arsenal this summer while Bournemouth also sold 'keeper Mark Travers to Everton.

The Cherries saw him as the best goalkeeper in the French League last season where he made 31 appearances and kept 10 cleansheets.

The Serbian decided to leave the Blues after he was not sure that he would get into the first-team ahead of Robert Sanchez.
