Chelsea legend, John Obi Mikel has singled out two players for praise following the Blues’ Club World Cup quarter-final 2-1 win against Palmeiras on Saturday morning.

The two players are Malo Gusto and Estêvão Willian.

Obi Mikel said Gusto had a good game against the Brazilian club, while Willian is a good player.

Recall that two goals from Cole Palmer and Agustín Giay (own goal) gave Enzo Maresca’s side the victory against Palmeiras.

Speaking to DAZN, Obi Mikel said: “He [Estêvão Willian] is a really good player. Fantastic player with a great left foot.

“He likes to wipe in the crosses early and he can dribble past players. He looks sharp and hungry like he wanted to prove something and he did that today.

“He [Gusto] was really good. He was everywhere. He sometimes drifts into midfield.

“He had a really good game. Sometimes we question his performances but today he was absolutely fantastic.”

Chelsea will face Fluminense in their next game on Tuesday in the semi-final.
