Chelsea’s talisman Cole Palmer has broken the silence on his future at Stamford Bridge with reports linking him to join Manchester United ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Palmer was speaking in an interview with The Guardian ahead of this weekend's game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 18 April 2026. According to him, the reports are not true and he laughs every time he hears the news of a possible transfer to Old Trafford or the Etihad.
What did Cole Palmer say about his future at Chelsea?
I have got no plans to move club, and when I see it I just laugh. Obviously Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don’t miss it. When I get home I think there’s nothing there for me anyway."
Palmer also spoke about the current system at the club and how they intend to get better going into next season.
He said,
"If we finish in a Champions League spot, it puts us in a good position to sign players that we need. We spoke to the owners and they are sure of the players who are gonna do it. We are on the same page. We want to win now. I think if we add right in the summer we can compete for serious trophies next season. I don’t think we’re far off."
Chelsea’s chances of securing Champions league football next season is a huge task with the number of tough games they still have to play before the season. However, the players will hope that they can get enough points on the board.
