Stand-up comedian I Go Save has called out Nigerians who are celebrating the cancellation of Burna Boy’s U.S. concerts, describing their behaviour as harmful and unnecessary.
Two of Burna Boy’s scheduled shows in Chicago and Minneapolis were recently pulled after low ticket sales, triggering excitement among some social media users who had previously urged fans to boycott his performances.
The reactions stem from an incident weeks ago when Burna Boy paused his performance and asked a female concert-goer to leave after he spotted her dozing off during his set. The moment sparked heated debate and led to online calls for show boycotts from some Nigerians living in the U.S.

In a post shared on Instagram Stories on Saturday night, I Go Save condemned the celebrations, arguing that rejoicing over a fellow Nigerian’s professional setback reflects a disturbing mindset and undermines the spirit of support within the entertainment community.
‘‘Burna Boy’s concert kick-out may be wrong or right depending on the side you stand on. But the same sinners pushing and celebrating a man’s source of daily bread cancellation is witchcraft!
‘‘I thought you pastors preach about forgiveness every Sunday? The fact that you hate somebody does not stop his blessings. Meanwhile you still celebrate your political oppressors. This generation and bad belle na 5 & 6,’’ I Go Save wrote on his IG page.
