Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Thursday discharged and acquitted the suspended Head of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari, on non-asset declaration charge.

The supercop was arraigned by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) on a 23-count charge of non-declaration of assets.

He was docked alongside his two brothers for allegedly swearing to false affidavits to conceal the origin of certain properties.

In his ruling, the judge held that the NDLEA failed to provide sufficient evidence to establish the allegations against the defendant.
