
The Nasarawa State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty by the new Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, following his redeployment by the Inspector-General of Police.
According to a statement released on Friday by the command’s spokesperson, SP. Ramhan Nansel, CP Shetima takes over from CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, who has been transferred to the Gombe State Police Command to serve as Commissioner of Police.
Upon assuming office, the new Commissioner of Police called for the sustained support and cooperation of residents and stakeholders across Nasarawa State, noting that effective policing thrives on strong collaboration between the police and the public.
He reassured the people of the state of his unwavering commitment to strengthening security, safeguarding lives and property, and maintaining peace and public order throughout the state.
