The Women SDG Advocates Conference 2026 is designed as a strategic convening to bring together women leaders, advocates, professionals, entrepreneurs, civil society actors, development practitioners, and corporate stakeholders committed to advancing the SDGs.
Convened in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Conference will serve as a catalyst for shared action, partnerships, and scalable solutions.
The theme reflects the power of collaboration where collective contribution leads to stronger outcomes, amplified voices, and measurable impact for women and communities.
Speaking about the event, Dr Alexander Akhigbe, founder and chief executive of ACI, said, “Empowering women is not charity; it is a global strategy for sustainable development. As Women SDG Advocates rise together, they unlock opportunities that transform communities and nations.”
The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, spotlight sessions and interactive workshops focused on practical areas such as funding access, partnerships, advocacy, digital tools and impact measurement, alongside networking and partnership clinics.
Dr. Masade-Olowola said the aim is to keep the work practical and accountable, adding, “Sustainability and SDG progress will not be delivered by good intentions, only.
It takes clear priorities, partnerships that are structured for delivery, and the discipline to measure what is working. WSAC 2026 will spotlight women-led solutions that are already improving lives, while equipping advocates with tools to strengthen results and build continuity beyond the day itself.”
A special keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih, Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals and Investment (SDGI) to the Lagos State Governor. Eunice Akhigbe will serve as Master of Ceremonies. And the programme will feature panel sessions with contributions from Agharese Lucia Onaghise, Executive Director, Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance, Dr. Natalie Beinisch Co-Founder, Circular Economy Innovation Partnership, Dr. Monica Nwosu, Executive Founder, Fresh Fountain Consulting Limited, and many other inspirational women.
While the physical event will be held at LCCI, virtual participation will be available. Other partners include media giant, Zenera Consulting.
