Nigeria’s D’Tigress captain, Sarah Ogoke, has announced her retirement from the national team.
Ogoke announced her retirement in Lyon, France, on Monday in the presence of her teammates.
The 35-year-old made her first appearance for Nigeria in 2017.
Ogoke won the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket title five times with the D’Tigress.
The shooting guard is leaving the international scene as an accomplished medical doctor, a mother and wife.
She will make her final appearance for D’Tigress against Germany at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World cup Qualifying Tournament on Tuesday (today).
