A former governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections in lagos has criticises the minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd) and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, for accompanying President Bola Tinubu on his recent visit to the United Kingdom.
Rhodes-Vivour in an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Friday, said security chiefs were sipping tea in UK while bombs went off in Borno State.
The politician who recently dumped the Lanour Party for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) lamented declared that it was “disgraceful” for security chiefs to have joined the president on the visit, given the challenges back home.
Ripples Nigeria reports that there was a bomb blast in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State just before President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the United Kingdom.

The President was accompanied by Gen Musa, rtd, and Ribadu, among many others.
Rhodes-Vivour said, “In relation to the trip to England, the thing that jumps out at me is how the NSA and the defense boss were in England, sipping coffee, sipping tea while bombs were going off in Maiduguri.
“The NSA and the Minister of Defence were part of Tinubu’s delegation to the UK for the State Visit.
“This came at a time when bombs killed about 23 persons and injured and displaced many more. I cannot reconcile the insensitivity and carelessness of this government. Sipping tea while all this is happening is completely disgraceful.”
