
The naira on Wednesday appreciated against the United States dollar at the foreign exchange for the third straight day.
Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the naira strengthened further on Wednesday to N1,343.74 per dollar up from N1,343.76 traded on Tuesday.
This means that on a day-to-day basis, the naira gained N0.03 against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market.
DAILY POST reported that in the past three day this week, the local currency has firmed up by N12.44 against the dollar.
Meanwhile, at the black market, the naira remained unchanged at N1410 per dollar on Wednesday, the same rate the previous day.
The development comes as the country’s external reserves dropped further to $48,69 billion on Tuesday, 14th April 2026.
