Dr Pimple Popper star Dr Sandra Lee opens up on stroke scare while filming, says she still struggles with speech and movement

Sandra Lee, popularly known as Dr Pimple Popper, has revealed she suffered a stroke while filming her reality series. According to Daily Mail, the 55-year-old dermatologist said the incident happened in November during production of Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out, when she first noticed something wasnt right. According to her, it initially felt like a hot flash. She became unusually sweaty, restless, and began experiencing sharp pains in one leg. She also struggled with basic movements like walking down the stairs. Things worsened the following day. Dr Lee said she noticed weakness in her hand, difficulty speaking clearly, and trouble forming words symptoms that made her question if she was having a stroke. She was rushed for medical evaluation after her father advised her to go to the hospital immediately. An MRI later confirmed she had suffered an ischemic stroke a condition caused by a blockage cutting off blood flow to part of the brain. Describing the moment, she said it was hard to accept, even as a medical professional. She explained that part of her brain was affected, which has left lingering effects. Dr Lee admitted that she still struggles with her speech and doesnt have full control or strength in her left hand.
