Easter: NSCDC deploys 365 personnel to secure worship centres in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Zamfara State Command, has deployed 365 operational personnel to worship centres across the state to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration.

The deployment was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASCI Umar Mohammed.

He noted that the exercise was carried out under the leadership of the State Commandant, Sani Mustapha.

According to the statement, the personnel have been strategically stationed to cover the Easter period, with a focus on strengthening security presence at worship centres, safeguarding lives, and protecting critical infrastructure across the 14 Local Government Areas of the state.

The Commandant charged the officers to maintain discipline, professionalism, and consistency while ensuring effective operational coverage to sustain peace and order throughout the festive period.

Mustapha also reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment under the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to its mandate of protecting lives and property, warning that anyone found engaging in criminal activities will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

He further extended Easter greetings to Christians, urging unity and praying for lasting peace in the country.
