The Presidency also clarified that the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, similarly tendered his resignation.

The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, made the clarification in a statement in Abuja.

He wished them success in their future endeavours.

The President also urged the new Minister of Finance, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, to consolidate ongoing reforms.

Tinubu will also forward the ministerial nomination of Muttaqha Darma to the Senate for confirmation as Minister of Housing.

Edun previously served as Lagos State Commissioner for Finance between 1999 and 2004 during Tinubu’s tenure as governor.
