A former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has stated that the dismissal of Finance Minister, Wale Edun, shows that no one in President Bola Tinubu’s inner circle is safe.
Dalung made the comment while responding to Edun’s sack despite being a good friend of Tinubu for a long time.
An official report said Edun quit because of health issues, but it was also reported that Tinubu had fired him.
However, the former minister said to reporters, “I agree with them that he stepped down because of health issues, as that’s what their media statement says.
“But the truth is more than what they’re sharing with the people of Nigeria.
“This method serves a function similar to Tinubu as Wale Edun. He has been collaborating with Tinubu for a long time.
“This method makes sure that no one near Tinubu is protected.”
