The supporters of Chelsea Football Club were hit with the worst possible news of an injury to Levi Colwill as they anticipate the start of the 2025/26 football season.
Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca confirmed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against AC Milan. According to him, Levi Colwill will not be available for the games against Milan and Bayern Munich as they anticipate the first league game of the season against Crystal Palace.
He said,
"We had a problem the last two days about Levi Colwill. We don't know how long he will be out for. Hopefully not too long. It's a problem. We need to wait. We don't know yet."
Colwill was a key part of Chelsea's success during the 2024/25 season, he scored important goals for the Blues. Most importantly, he bagged the only goal in the final Premier League game of the season against Nottingham Forest.
The young defender was also influential in helping Chelsea win the FIFA Club World Cup hosted in the United States of America. Chelsea supporters will hope that Colwill gets back to fitness before the new season begins.
