Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has hailed his team’s spirit following their 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Blues were reduced to 10 men, after Moises Caicedo was shown a straight red card for a tackle on Mikel Merino.
But it was Maresca’s men who took the lead, thanks to Trevor Chalobah’s header in the second half.
“The performance has been fantastic,” Maresca told BBC Match of the Day.
“We were a much better team than them 11 v 11 but with 10 players, it is difficult but we dealt with it outstandingly.
“11 v 11, we were better than them. We tried to exploit the best solution, the best space. We knew the space was for Malo and Estevao on that side.
“Tonight we can be happy even if we didn’t win.”
