Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that Arsenal have to drop points in their last three games, if they will stand a chance of winning the Premier League title.
Guardiola watched on Saturday, as his team hammered Brentford 3-0 at the Etihad on Saturday.
After a goalless first half, City stepped up after the break to take maximum points thanks to goals from Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush.
The result takes Guardiola’s men to within two points of leaders Arsenal, who are away to West Ham on Sunday.
When asked if he expects another twist in the title race, Guardiola told reporters: “I don’t know… Arsenal have been at the top of the league almost the whole season and are unbeaten in the Champions League.
“They would have to drop points but it’s not really up to us.
“I think we’ve won everything except Everton in the last 10, 11 games… This team has done what has to be done.”
