Chelsea’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League took a huge blow on Saturday, following a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
The Blues came into the game hoping to avoid consecutive home losses after they were hammered 3-0 by Manchester City last Sunday.
Matheus Cunha’s first-time finish on the stroke of half-time proved to be enough for Michael Carrick’s side.
The result also sees the Red Devils solidify third place in the Premier League.
It however leaves Chelsea further adrift of top five places, that will be enough for a ticket to Europe’s elite competition.
Chelsea’s next league fixture is a trip to Brighton in midweek.
