Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has called on the club to target four key signings during the summer transfer window.
He pinpointed exactly where the Red Devils squad is falling short, identifying two midfielders, a full-back, and a forward, as the missing pieces for a “realistic” window for United.
“If Manchester United get four players in the summer transfer window, then I think that is a realistic transfer window,” Ferdinand said on his podcast.
He added: “Priorities should be two central midfielders, another forward, a younger one who is going to be more of a back-up, and one full-back.”
United are expected to strengthen their squad this summer as they look to mount a title challenge next season, having fallen short in the current campaign.
