Former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, has warned manager, Arne Slot that they cannot get comfortable, after they beat Aston Villa 2-0 on Saturday night.
The win ended a four-game losing streak in the Premier League for the champions.
Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch scored in each half as the Reds returned to winning ways.
But in the coming days, Arne Slot’s men will take on Real Madrid and Manchester City before the next international week.
“You don’t rest on that,” Gerrard said on TNT Sports.
“It’s about parking that up and going for the next prizes. He’s handled it well, it’s a great win so he deserves a lot of credit for that but they come thick and fast.
“In two days’ time, the pressure will build again because he will be expected to beat Real Madrid.”
