EPL: Guardiola reveals why Man City failed to score more goals against Burnley

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed his players did not recover fully from their 2-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday, when they beat Burnley on Wednesday night.

Guardiola’s men won 1-0 at Turf Moor, thanks to Erling Haaland’s early goal.

Although City failed to score more goals after the sixth minute, they still went top of the Premier League.

City are ahead of Arsenal only on goals scored.

Guardiola told Sky Sports: “We did everything after a demanding game three days ago. So it was demanding. It wasn’t easy. We missed some goals here.

“No frustration. Why should I be frustrated? We are right now top of the table. Frustration doesn’t exist.

“Of course, we can do better and score goals. The guys did absolutely everything, we just didn’t score [more]. Nothing was taken for granted, we did really well.”
