Sky Sports pundit, Gary Neville has urged Liverpool manager Arne Slot to take Milos Kerkez out of his starting XI.
Neville believes Kerkez is becoming a worry for Liverpool and should be dropped for the Reds’ next Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
The Englishman spoke after Liverpool’s Premier League 3-2 defeat to Brentford over the weekend.
“I actually think that there were quite a few of those games they’ve lost that they could’ve won,” Neville said of Liverpool’s latest defeat as quoted by Metro UK.
“Early on in the season, I felt their full-backs weren’t right, maybe Ibrahim Konate’s at times weren’t right, and Virgil van Dijk was holding them together, and Alisson [Becker] was in goal.
“You have got two world-class performers there in Van Dijk and Alisson, but the virus is catching. It’s not just going into the left-back.
“The left-back [Kerkez] is becoming a worry. He [Kerkez] scored last night [against Brentford], but watching him, he has to be taken out, I think.”
