Former Tottenham star, Jermaine Jenas, has predicted the Premier League game between Arsenal and Manchester United.
He thinks Arsenal might be surprised by Manchester United in their important Premier League game on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s team are in a good position at the top of the league and have not lost any of their last 12 games across all competitions.
But the Gunners are set to play a tough match against United on Sunday.
United have been doing well since their new temporary manager, Michael Carrick, took charge.
Goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu helped United beat Manchester City 2-0 last weekend, and it was a really good performance by the team during Carrick’s management.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas thinks United’s game against City might give them a good plan to play well at the Emirates and get a good result on Sunday.
On the Wilcards Podcast, he said, “Watching that game against Man City, the first thing I noticed was how well-drilled they were, and their organisation and partnerships were really coming together.
“Up top, Mbeumo and Fernandes were really working together a lot, and Fernandes set up Mbeumo for the first goal of the game. Defensively, the situation with Martinez and Maguire seems to be holding up well.
“Casemiro in the midfield with Kobbie Mainoo – suddenly, there were some pairings that made you think, ‘Oh, these guys could be really hard to beat.’
“And I think when I watch Arsenal, I don’t get the feeling that they just break teams apart easily.
“Obviously, they have good set-pieces which can make a difference, and Gabriel Jesus could help with that, but you can’t help but notice that United are playing a more counterattacking style of football.
“If they do, Mbeumo and Fernandes are good choices because their playing style fits well with how the game is expected to unfold. If Arsenal don’t handle their counterattacks properly, they might end up in trouble.
“I think those players, like Amad Diallo, Fernandes, or Mbeumo, are going to cause some trouble. But not everyone is confident about United’s chances.”
