Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has insisted that the Premier League title race is “not over” despite their 1-1 draw with West Ham on Saturday.
Ahead of the match at the London Stadium, Guardiola had claimed his team would be out of the running if they don’t pick up maximum points.
Bernardo Silva gave City the lead with a cheeky finish, but the Hammers were levelled before the break, thanks to Kostantinos Mavropanos’ towering header.
The result leaves Guardiola’s men nine points adrift of Arsenal, who beat Everton 2-0 earlier in the day.
But Guardiola said: “It’s not over. Because we didn’t lose.
“We have one game in hand, we have the game at home [against Arsenal], so we have to try it until the end.
“When it’s not possible, we will congratulate the Champions, but we have to try.”
