As fans eagerly gear up for the August 2025 international break, the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, in an official announcement, has confirmed his 31-man provisional squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for Africa.
Given the poor outing for Super Eagles team B at CHAN 2024, Chelle has opted for a squad with more foreign-based players. The squad has been trimmed down to a 23-man squad a few days before the qualifiers. Eric Chelle's latest announcement has sparked a debate on social media ahead of fixtures against Rwanda and South Africa.
