Human rights lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has alleged that the immediate past Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, made enemies for President Bola Tinubu during his time in office.
Adeyanju who made the allegations during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, said the removal of Egbetokun by the President was a fulfilment of the law of Karma for his alleged atrocities against the Nigerian people.
He also used the opportunity to warn public office holders to remain circumspect while dealing with the Nigerian citizens, stating that power is transient.
“Egbetokun inherited so many enemies for his principal, President Bola Tinubu. As a public office holder, you should know that you will never be in power forever,” Adeyanju said.
“Karma has come for Malami, El-Rufai and Egbetokun. Karma is going to come for many of them that will soon be out of government.
“We must always circumspect when dealing with citizens. Many of them like Egbetokun used their offices to victimize people,” he added.
