Chelsea on Friday night set two records after qualifying for the FA Cup quarter-final stage.
This comes after the Blues defeated Hull City 4-0 in the FA Cup fourth-round tie.
Recall that Pedro Neto’s hat-trick and a goal from Estêvão Willian gave Liam Rosenior’s side the victory against Hull City.
However, according to OptaJoe, Chelsea are now the first Premier League side to see a hat-trick scored in consecutive away games in all competitions since Tottenham Hotspur in May 2017 (Harry Kane vs Leicester City and Hull City).
Recall that Cole Palmer had scored a hat-trick against Wolves in the Premier League before Neto’s hat-trick against Hull City in the FA Cup.
Also, Chelsea have won all nine of their FA Cup ties against Hull City – a new record for the most ties played by a team against another team with a 100 per cent success rate in FA Cup history.
