Sian Dowsett, a 25-year-old UK's Royal Navy sailor, is facing trial over allegations of multiple opportunistic s3xual assaults against colleagues while deployed at sea.The able seaman is accused of targeting both male and female shipmates aboard HMS Dauntless between 2023 and 2024, though she denies all charges.Prosecutors told Bulford Military Court that the alleged incidents involved unwanted touching and comments of a s3xual nature. One allegation states she grabbed colleagues inappropriately, with the prosecution saying her actions ranged from nipple pinching to bottom slapping and genital grabbing.A male sailor told the court he felt disrespected by her behaviour, saying: It is just disrespectful A lack of respect really. He added: Unfortunately, she is a bit of a cancer on the ship.Another allegation claims she touched a senior officer without consent while they were changing, with prosecutors saying she grabbed the officers bre@st and asked: Do you like that baby girl? The court heard the alleged behaviour left colleagues feeling uncomfortable, unwanted, and non-consensual.In a separate incident, she is said to have repeatedly pinched a male colleague while maintaining eye contact, and allegedly made remarks such as: I like my coffee how I like my men, big and strong. Other accusations include striking a female colleague on the backside with force, accompanied by comments about her appearance.Despite the claims, Dowsett denies all seven counts. Her defence argued the allegations were fabricated, suggesting tensions among crew members may have influenced the accusations.
