Troops have arrested five suspects during a raid on a suspected criminal enclave in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The operation was disclosed in a post shared on X on Wednesday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to the report, the troops, under Sector 1 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), carried out a fighting patrol on March 23, targeting a hideout at Amla Icho in the area.
During the operation, five suspects were apprehended, while several items were recovered.
“These include six locally made guns, 16 empty cartridges, one motorcycle, three machetes, and six mobile phones,” Makama wrote.
The suspects and the recovered items are currently in the custody of the troops for further investigation.
