Two women have been officially confirmed dead in the road accident that occurred at Osisioma section of Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt expressway on Thursday.
The accident involved a Mini-Bus loaded with goods which crashed into a Trailer truck packed on the expressway.
The impact of the crash resulted in the instant death of one woman, while the second female victim died before she could be taken to the hospital.
The Abia State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC ,Ngozi Ezeoma confirmed the sad development to DAILY POST.
She said the unfortunate event involved three persons but claimed the lives of two females.
“Yes, three people involved. One male and two females.
“The two females lost their lives,” the FRSC Sector Commander, Ngozi Ezeoma said.
In a witness account, a transporter who plies the expressway, Okechukwu Agbazuo claimed that the Bus painted White and Blue was speeding when it lost control and crashed into the Truck.
